Marksmanship Hunter Class Overview
Welcome to my Marksmanship Hunter DPS guide for World of Warcraft WotLK 3.3.5a. This will be a short guide describing what Spec, Talents, Glyphs, Gems and Enchants you will need in order to succeed in a raid. In the end of the guide there are also some tips and basic rotation for the class.
Marksmanship Hunter shines in battles with single targets. He has a sizeable burst DPS at boss fights, but close to non AoE DPS capability.
When spending your Talent Points, be sure to check your stats. Hit Cap is a priority, so if you don't have it - then go for Focused Aim talent. If you have enough Hit from your items, then you can spend those points into Improved Hunter`s Mark.
The first build is better for players who don't have Armor Penetration soft cap. This build uses Arcane shot, which is not physical damage.
The second build is for players with better gear. Arcane shot is not used in the rotation with this build
Gems are used to get your stat caps depending on what you lack, so it is situational
If you have a softcap of Armor Penetration - then put Delicate Cardinal Ruby in every slot.
If you don't have the Armor Penetration softcap, then get it with Fractured Cardinal Ruby
After reaching a hardcap of Armor Penetration use flat Agility or Haste gems.
Head – Arcanum of Torment
Shoulder – Greater Inscription of the Axe
Cloak – Major Agility
Chest – Powerful Stats
Bracers – Greater Assault
Gloves – Major Agility
Waist – Eternal Belt Buckle
Legs – Icescale Leg Armor
Boots – Tuskarr's Vitality

Used only when talents taken to improve it and with a small amount of Armor Penetration. Is not used with the second build.
Used when everything else is on cooldown
Self-explaining. Use when needed to interrupt spells
