Feral Druid Class Overview

PVE Feral Druid DPS Guide, WoW WotLK 3.3.5a

Welcome to my Feral Druid DPS guide for World of Warcraft WotLK 3.3.5a. This will be a short guide describing what Talents, Glyphs, Gems and Enchants you will need in order to succeed in a raid. In the end of the guide there are also some tips and basic rotation for the class.

Feral Druid as a DPS is one of the hardest builds. Huge combo and a lot of rules, not recommended for new players. Has the ability to do good single- and multiple target damage, but requires a lot of skill from the player. Overall, you might want to consider Rogue, but if you're looking for a challenge – this is for you.

Talent Tree

This is a build designed to do maximum DPS in a single target.

You have 3 points left. Spend them as wish, here are a few suggestions.

Survival Instinct & Nurturing Instinct are not a top priority in your build, but can save your life on encounters where you have to absorb  damage. They also make the job of your healer easier.
Improved Mangle is used only when you have to constantly swap between targets.

Glyphs

Major Glyphs:
Glyph of Savage Roar
Glyph of Shred
Glyph of Rip

Small Glyphs:
Glyph of Unburdened Rebirth
Glyph of the Wild

Gems

Gems are used to get your stat caps depending on what you lack, so it is situational.Haste gems are useful only with 100% Armor Penetration.

Meta: Relentless Earthsiege Diamond, use one Nightmare Tear to activate the meta gem
Blue & Red: Fractured Cardinal Ruby, Delicate Cardinal Ruby or Deft Ametrine
Yellow: Deadly Ametrine, Quick King's Amber or Deft Ametrine

Enchants

Head – Arcanum of Torment
Shoulder – Greater Inscription of the Axe
Cloak – Major Agility
Chest – Powerful Stats
Bracers – Greater Assault
Gloves – Major Agility, Precision or Expertise
Waist – Eternal Belt Buckle
Legs – Icescale Leg Armor
Boots – Icewalker or Superior Agility
Weapon – Berserking

Gameplay & Rotations

You are the best target for Hysteria. All of your damage is physical and you benefit from this buff most of all classes.

Rotation & Rules:

Maintain Savage Roar at all times. If needed, refresh with 1 Combo Point
Maintain Mangle (Cat). (Other Arms-warrriors or druids may do it)
Maintain Rake
Combo Points are made with Shred (but № 2, 3 are more important)
At 5 Combo Points use Rip, if not used already
Tiger's Fury is used when below 30 energy. Used on cooldown
Clearcast procs are used for Shred
If at 5 Combo Points Savage Roar and Rip have more than 8 secs, then use Ferocious Bite
Berserk is used when you have about 85 energy of less. Don't use it if you don't have energy

AddOns

Addons play quite a big role in World of Warcraft and should be used by everyone. The question is, what addons do YOU need? Truth is, every player decides for himself what addons does he need or want. Now, there is a list of must-have addons, without them - you won't be taken seriously, or your game will be much more complicated.
